QUOTE (Jordan,yo :D)
Seventies?

Mmkay, my friend is throwing a 70's party.
She says to dress in 70's clothes..
but how exactly do I do that?!

What kind of clothes should I wear?
How should I do my hair and makeup?
How should I talk?, haha.
Like, what are some 70's phrases?

Question asked at Yahoo Answers

Commemorating the 70's would mean popping up the era of punk, the short spikey punk hairstyles in particular. 70's was also a time when we reminisce those strange fashion trends that have lit up the lifestyle of most people during those years.

Now that you will be attending a 70's party, you would have to look and act like a real 70's gal. It's so easy. First, you do a cute punk hair do, which is very easy to create. Next would be searching for fancy dress stores where you can find strange wigs. If you can't find one, you may just buy a hair color and add striking stripes or zigzags on your hair. And that's what I mean about punk fashion!

For men, you can try long hair wig and dress up with flared trousers, or known as bell bottoms.

For women, the hairstyles should be bob and shag, which were vogue because of the easiness to maintain, and not to mention to create. As for the shoes, famous were some platform shoes that complete the look of 70's fashionable women.

You can also watch films of the 70's to help you get an idea about the way 80's fashion went through. Here are some of the films that you may start searching:

* Saturday Night Fever
* Jaws
* Close Encounters of the Third Kind
* The Rocky Horror Picture Show
* Superman (the original movie with Christopher Reeves)
* Star Wars
* and, of course, who could forget the performance of John Travolta and Olivia Newton John in Grease, the movie?!

Cool punk hairstyles

If you're off to a fancy dress party, it's easy to re-create the cool punk hairstyles of the 1970's.
