lightening eyebrows?
Well, i just dyed my hair, again.
my natural colour is a dark chesnut brown, it is now a really light honey blonde with some light and dark highlights.
it is mostly light though.
the problem is, my eyebrows are so dark they are almost black, and they throw off my whole look now, its looks terrible with my newly blonde hair.
i was wondering if i could just buy a tinted brow gel?
i know darkening the brows wouldnt be an issue but i need them like 2-3 shades lighter.
reccomendations?
i dont wanna spend too much money and btw, im in winnipeg, canada so we dont have sephora or anything.
Also, bleaching is not an option. i wont be able to deal with eyebrow roots.

YAHOO ANSWERS

If bleaching is not an option for you, then the second best thing are tinted brow gels. I suggest MAC brow set for it looks natural. A brush-on gel that grooms and slicks brows into shape without flaking or stiffening the brows. Try on the "Sophisticated Shade" for a natural blonde color.

Slick! Strokes on. Adds shine, style, grooming, overall wow! to the brows. A brush-on gel that grooms and slicks brows into shape without flaking or stiffening the brows. Available in several tinted shades or clear, it can be used on its own, or for a nice natural look stroke over Eye Brows. May also be used on lashes, sideburns, and chops - any facial hair.

i have a fair complexion.
please send me photos of any brides that you can suggest with a fine gorgeous color make-up combination.
i want to be the most prettiest ofcourse that's every1s dream when getting married. please2x. thanks and godspeed!

Question asked on Yahoo Answers

I would suggest that you use Mary Kay Signature Bronze Highlighting Powder. I personally used it since it is a combination of three different colored pigments that are arranged in a cute striped circular design with a darker, mocha color at the top, a light caramel color powder in the middle, and a medium color bronzer at the bottom. These three color combination blend nicely especially for skin that has a beautifully sun kissed appeal.

You can apply the bronzer with any powder or makeup brush. My friend recommended that I use the large one, but since I don't have it I only used the blush brush, and it is perfect! This can be applied either on your face or body areas like the shoulders. But never apply this anywhere as it can easily rub off on clothes you wear.

You can use it on your cheekbones, forehead, chin and your nose to make your complexion a beautiful glow even without the sun. You just have to dust your brush lightly over the powder. But be careful not to press it down hard because what you only need is a bit of pigment for a nice glow. Otherwise, it could only result to an undesirably orange pigment on your face. So you really have to blend it at the sides of your face and hairline.

More Bridal Make-Up Tips:

Face
* Make sure your skin is well moisturized. A foundation primer is a must. SInce your wedding might take a few hours, you definitely need to look and stay fresh all through out. Nobody wants a fading make up especially on their wedding day.

* Your foundation should match your skintone and your neck completely. If you have to choose between a lighter or a darker shade, go with the darker. The flash in cameras might reflect off your makeup and the last thing you want in pictures is a white face with a darker neck.

* Set with a translucent loose or blot powder to maximize lasting power and avoid shine.

* Blush is a must to acheive a "blushing bride" look. Colors such as pink, peach, and rose are great picks.

Eyes
* Smudges and creases are definitely big no-nos. Use an eyeshadow primer like Urban Decay's Primer Potion to create the perfect base for your eye makeup and stick with products in waterproof and longlasting formulas. This means waterproof mascara, gel eyeliner like MAC's Fluidlines and powder eyeshadows.

* Avoid crazy colors that will make you regret your look on your wedding day. Choose a look that will still look great years from now.

* Eyebrows frame the face. Its shape must be suited to your face stucture. Have it done and shaped professionally days before your wedding day to avoid redness on you rwedding day itself.

* Curling your lashes is a must. Finish it off with 2 coats of waterproof mascarra.

* To really make your eyes pop, line the lower inner rim with a beige/off-white pencil.

Lips
* Apply a hydrating and moisturizing balm on your lips and make it stay for 15mins to avois the lips from flaking. Blot it out and apply lip liner all over the lips. This will make your lipstick last longer. Apply your lipstick using a lipbrush, blot, and apply agaid. Finish it with a coat of lipgloss.

* According to celebrity makeup artist Bobbi Brown, "avoid neutral and pale lip colors because they can look washed out in pictures. Choose a lipstick that is one to two shades brighter than what you normally wear. Not something intense but maybe a few colors up." Pinks, roses and plums are great choices.

* Have a make-up trial before your wedding day. Your weding day isn't the time to experiment on your look. Take pictures to see how it looks on film.

Bobbi Brown also has a Bridal Face Palette and Bridal Kit:

Most women think that the "natural or no-make up look" requires no effort. In contrary, you have to be more critical with the colors you choose to achieve this look. The no make up look actually involves make-up. First, even out your skin tone. If you are blessed with perfect skin, you may simply use tinted moisturizers (Laura Mercier Tinted moisturizer). On the other handm if you opt to have a better coverage, use water based foundations (shu-uemura water-based foundation) or mineral foundations (bare escentuals) that give your skin a natural sheen so that you won't look flat matte or all made up. If you wish to have blemish free looking skin, use concealer on targetted areas that is just right for your skintone and if your undereye needs concealing, use a highlighter/concealer like YSL Touche de eclat. For your cheeks, cheek ot blush stains (Benefit Benetint) are best to achieve a natural "blushed" look. Choose a shade that depicts the color of your cheek when pinched. For the eyes, lightly put a small amount of pale matte eyeshadow on the eyelids and try not to use the shimmery kind. Sweep a darker color over the base and blend both colors so there are no visible lines. Brown and yellow based shadows work very well with the natural look. Dont forgert to curl your lashes and apply clear mascara or brown/black, but be sure to only use a few coats as you don't want to over do it. For the lips, lip stains or tinted lipgloss/lip bals will be your best bet. But if you prefer to use lipsticks, choose a shade that naturally depicts the color of your lips (your lips but better) and top it off with a clear gloss. Just remember to look fresh and show off your naturally gorgeous glow.

Curling your lashes and putting a coat of mascarra brings a lot of difference to how your eyes look. Concealer or highlighters will make your eyes look less tired. To accentuate your eyes, use eye liner.

Eyebrow Color?
I have very sparce, black eyebrows that are so light that I need to fill them in. I've noticed that black eyebrow filler looks unnatural, so is it okay if I use dark brown? I don't think it's too noticeable, but it doesn't match the color of my hair perfectly?

Yahoo Answers

Always choose a brow color that enhances your skin and hair color. Brow colors should actually be a shade lighter than your hair color. So, it is ok to use dark brown.

Eyebrows give a definition to face and grooming them and giving them shape can make your face look cleaner and more beautiful and make your eyes appear larger and more expressive.

Start of by shaping your eyebrows. The shape of your eyebrows should compliment your face shape.
Tweeze only the hairs underneath your brows to shape them. Many people have beautifully shaped eyebrows naturally that just need to be defined instead of alteration.
Tweezing the brows after the shower is much easier and less painful.
It is better to have your eyebrows shaped abd threaded by a professional and then you may do the maintenance of your eyebrows by yourself already by simply tweezing stray hairs.
Calculate the arch of the eyebrows by using the ruler. It should start from the side of your nose to the same line on the outer corner of the eye. The high point should be on the outer side of the pupil.
To fill in the gaps in the eyebrow shape, use a color that matches the natural colors of your brows or a shade lighter than that. Fill the gaps with short strokes of the pencil or use powder brow color apply it usung a brush.
Groom the eyebrows using a clear eyebrow gel and an eyebrow brush.

Purple eyeshadow look best on blue-eyed girls. You may also opt for natural or taupe eyeshadows if you are scared with color. For mascara, choose one that is both lengthening and volumizing. Maybelline is an affordable brand that does the job well. It is also use by many make-up artists. Dont forget to curl your eye lashes before applying mascarra.

I like to use pencil too so yeahh....I also have really oily skin and think this might be one of the reasons. I wash my face and usu skin products and everything too!

I was thinking about getting the urban decay primer...do you think it will solve my problem??

Urban Decay Primer is a cult fave. It is tested and used by make-up fanatics and professional make-up artists. Many rave about this product because it really makes the eye make up last longer. For optimal results, why not try gel liners. They are smudge and fool proof.

How can I make my eyes "pop?"?
I have golden/sunny blond hair, and hazelish eyes. My skin is pretty pale and I have caramel and chocolate colored split glasses. My cheeks are also very naturally rosy.

They're mainly an amber-y color with green, and they have a darker rim of a very dark brown, almost black, around the outside.
I want to bring out the green-ness, how can I do that? Can you buy contacts that filter certain colors? [besides colored contacts]

Yahoo Answers

QUOTE
Green eyes are really fun to work with. They have such a wide color range from turqouise to chartreuse to forest green to bright light green and on and on.

These tips are designed for the magority of green eyes, but of course there are exceptions to every rule. My best advice is to try every color that you're interested in. You'll be surprised what looks good.

Choosing An Eyeshadow

These colors are some of the most popular for green eyes.

Try different browns, especially chocolate tones. Browns and dark greens with copper or gold highlights are also a great choice.

Apricots and taupes are good choices for highlighters.

Dark purples, plums and metallics work too. Coppers and golds will make a really glamorous evening look for makeup tips for green eyes. I personally really like the way deep purples look with dark green eyes.

Colors To Avoid

When you're learning makeup tips for green eyes, it also helps to know what colors you might want to avoid.

First up, blues. Any color of blue doesn't do green eyes justice. I would recommend avoiding light blues, dark blues and even some colors (purples or pinks) with blue undertones.

Pinks are also a hard color to judge. Some can look really, really good and others can look really, really bad. This is usually a matter of trial and error.

Silvers are not a good choice either. Leave them for the blue eyes.

Eyeliner Colors

Unless you really like black eyeliner, it's usually a color to avoid. Try steely grays or chocolate browns. Use gold or white to open up the eye if your eyes are small.

The Rule Of Thumb

A good rule of thumb when choosing a color for makeup tips for green eyes is to focus on warm colors and avoid cool colors.

Don't put a lot of make-up and simply choose shades that matches and enhances your skintone. Loud and crazy colors wouldn't give you a natural look. Even out your skintone but you don't need to use heavy foundation for it surely won't look natural. Just use tinted moisturizer or mineral foundation. Make sure you choose a shade that matches your skin tone. Use a blush on color that is similar to the color of your cheeks when you normally blush. Cheekstains look more natural than powder blush ons. Tinted lipbalms and lipglosses will give you a natural look instead of lipsticks.Don't forget to groom your eyebrows and curl your lashes smile.gif

Since your still very young, I suggest you use mineral powder foundation to give you a more natural and not a cakey look. Tinted moisturizer is also another option. You still have young and good skin so I suppose foundation is too harsh and heavy for you. You may also use Benefit Benetint blush/cheek stain. It will give you a just bitten look on the lips and just a natural flush on your cheeks. Top your lips with a clear lipgloss. Mac tendertone lipbalm is also perfect for your age. It's not as heavy as a lipstick and it will make your lips softer. Skip on eyeshadow. Just curl your lashes and you're good to go. smile.gif

QUOTE
The perfect look for a teenager is a neutral and natural makeup. For most of the teenage girls a light foundation, black or brown mascara and a little bit of a blush should be enough. Teens should never apply too heavy makeup, tons of foundation or face powder because their skin is still young and fresh-looking. Soft and matte colors will suit every teenager. Unfortunately many teenage girls apply too much makeup in order to make them look older (red lipstick, too much blush, too much eye makeup) and the result isn???t very pleasant.

If you are over 30 you may apply makeup to accentuate your best features and to hide the first signs of aging, but if you are a teenager you should use makeup simply to enhance your natural beauty. Another mistake that many teenagers make is that they apply too much concealer, foundation and powder to hide pimples, scars, blackheads or large pores. Actually doing so is a huge, huge mistake. This way you make your face look unnatural and like a mask and it can also lead to more serious skin problems like acne, more clogged pores (blackheads), whiteheads, discolorations and rashes. Remember: applying the appropriate amount of any makeup product is the first step to a flawless makeup.

7. How can I make my eyeshadow stay for the whole day?

8. If I have full or fuller lips already should I still use lipliner since it stops lipstick from creeping out of the edges?

Yahoo Answers

Hi! I'm a make-up artist... here are my answers to your questions...smile.gif

1. Eyebrow pencils truly helps in defining your eyebrows. Your eyeborws should be perfectly shaped... Eyebrows frame our face, so a well-groomed eyebrows gives a lot of difference.

2. Choosing an eyeliner shades depends upon the color of your hair. It should be a shade lighter than your hair color.

3. As far as I could remember, Revlon has a colorstay eyebrow pencil. It is smudge-proof and long lasting. It is best to remove it using a make-up remover like shu-uemura cleansing oil or lancome eye make up remover.

4. Translucent Powder: "translucent" is usually used to describe the color/shade of the powde; it is usually undetectable or clear
If you're talking about translucent loose powders, it is use to set the make-up and control shine. Since it is ""translucent", it doesnt change the color of your make-up (blush, eyeshadow)
Attached File  untitlednn.bmp ( 29.16K ) Number of downloads: 14

Compact Powder: As the name connotes, it is powder that comes in a compact. It is sometimes also called as "pressed powder." It is use to retouch your make-up. Others also use it to set the make-up.
Attached File  untitledm.bmp ( 42.24K ) Number of downloads: 15

5/6. Translucent and compact powders are best for oily skins. People with normal or combination skin may also use these powders. However, people with very dry or flaking skin should use this sparingly.

7. You may make your eyeshadow last longer by applying an eye makeup primer before applying your eyeshadow. You may use Urban Decay Primer or Mac Prep and Prime for th eyes. Another trick is to use MAC Paintpots as a base for your eyeshadow.

8. You should definitely use lip liner to avoid the lipstick from bleeding. I use lipliner all over the lips, so that if the lipstick fades, you won't be left with a llined lips (like the pic below). Lip liners usually makes the lipstick last longer.

Forget about sweating off your eye make-up. You can always use a water-proof make-up for a long lasting effect. Plus, the tips below can help you on choosing the right make-up to use for a blonde girl with blue eyes like you.

The best eyeshadow shades for blonde girls with blue eyes and pale complexion are lavenders, violet, and neutral tones.
Use the violet on the lid and in the crease of the eyelid. Use the lighter color lavender above the crease to the eyebrow bone for a dramatic night look. Use natural colors for daytime.

what color of eyeshadow makes brown eyes stand out?
Yahoo Answers

For brown eyes, earthy colors tend to look the best. Browns that are lighter or darker than your eye color, greens and pinks tend to be the best choices.

Whether you have light brown eyes like Jessica Simpson or deep brown eyes like Keira Knightley, there are plenty of color choices.
Classic Choices: Copper, bronze, champagne (soft pink with a touch of apricot), brown, beige, and khaki-green
Funky Favorites: Tangerine, royal blue, hot pink, lime-green (the contrast adds punch to brown)

eyeliner issues?
ok well i love the look of really dark eyeliner but when i put it on me it looks almost grey...i really love that really deep dark black color too...the color is very black but it doesnt look like it does anyone have any advise that could make it look darker?
Yahoo Answers

Eyeliner certainly do wonders in making the eyes look more enhanced. It can either make or break your look. Achieving the perfect deep black color from your eyeliner initially depends on the product you choose to use. Some pencil eyeliners available in the market today often claims to be "black" but when applied, it just casts out a gray color. Too bad. sad.gif Some eyeliners are very stiff and not smooth to apply. That is why it is oftentimes hard to bring out the color that you want.

First, before buying an eyeliner, you must first try it on the counters. If you are not satisfied with the color, don;t purchase it. Cause if you do might just end up being frustrated. Always choose a pencil eyeliner that is smooth to apply but doesn't smudge, unless you are going for a smudge look. Personally, if you want to achieve a very black color, you might want to shift and try using liquid eyeliner, or better yet, a gel liner.

Gel eyeliners nowadays are getting more and more popular. Why? Mainly because it gives out a clean, precise, and smudge proof line. "It offers the precision of a liquid eyeliner and the ease of application of a pencil eyeliner" It doesn't tug your eyes so it is a good thing. smile.gif On the other hand, it is quite difficult to remove so you might need help from a make-up remover such as Shu-Uemura Cleansing Oil.
Attached Image

You have to practice in applying gel liners. Having the right tools is also essential in achieving a perfect line. I suggest you use the following brushes or if you're in a tight budget, use brushes similar to the following. (Left) MAC 263, (middle) Smashbox arced eyeliner brush #21, (right) MAC 209. Use these brushes in lining the top of your eye.

The best eyeliners in the market today are MAC Fluidline, Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Liner, and Stila.

What happens if u dont remove mascara? wondering....
YAHOO ANSWERS

It is not wise to go to sleep with mascara on. Your eyelashes might break when you still have mascara on when asleep. It may also cause bacterial infection because bacteria might build up on the mascara on your eyelashes. Depending also on the thickness of the mascara it can get into your eye and cause red, swollen eyes in the morning. Also the fact that you may wake up with raccoon eyes is not a site to behold. biggrin.gif A simple “in a hurry” way to remove mascara before going to sleep is to use facial cleansing wipes to remove as much mascara as possible. Still, nothing comes close to keeping lashes in condition by removing all makeup before going to sleep. For hard to remove or waterproof mascara, your best bed would be cleansing oils, either from MAC or Shu Uemura.
